SWC Scientific World Conceptions
GENOMICS: PHILOSOPHY, ETHICS AND POLICY
Vienna, July 3-14, 2017
Over the last two decades, genomics has emerged as a powerful site for not just re-configuring understandings and enactments of life, but also for understanding how these conceptions and enactments form in tandem with modes of ordering and governing lives. The two-week course explores conceptual innovations that draw these co-productive processes into view, as well as the histories and philosophies that deepen our understandings of not just genomics, but also our ever elusive efforts to make sense of life.
Course fee: EUR 880,-
Lodging in student dormitories is available at approximately EUR 400-450 for the whole duration of the course.

CoursesFollowing the success of the 2014, 2015 and 2016 International Summer Schools in Peace and Conflict Studies, the Department of Social and Political Sciences, University of Cyprus, announces the Fourth International Summer School, which is organized in collaboration with the European Consortium for Political Research, the International Association for Peace and Conflict Studies and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
The theme for the 2017 International Summer School will be "Co-opted Peace and the Pursuit of Justice: Hidden Conflicts, Concealed Violence and New Rights" and will take place in the capital of Cyprus, Nicosia between 9-21 July 2017.

CoursesThis summer school teaches relevant management principles in an action-orientated outdoor & white water kayaking environment of the canton Ticino in Switzerland from the 20th of July 2017 until the 27th of July 2017.
The course provides 6 ECTS. It is designed not only for students of Bachelor, Master and Ph.D. level with a focus on Business Management, but also for other related studies, which provide management input.

CoursesIt is a 5-day program that introduces participants to the culture of wine and winemaking and explores the different synergies that exist with the field of tourism. Based at the University of Lausanne’s Sion campus, in the heart of the Valais winemaking region, it will use local case studies to illustrate the wider global issue of linking the winemaking and tourism industries.
When? 10-15 July 2017
For Whom? International students at MA and PhD level in the social sciences and humanities, or equivalent.
How much? From CHF 900.00, accommodation included, with a possibility to upgrade the room with an extra fee. CHF 690.00 without accommodation.
