VisitsBetween the 28th and 30th November 2016, Professors Nikolay Bandurin, Natalia Gremyakina, Nalbandyan Astkhik Armenakovna, Grigoryeva Elena Mikhailovna, Oganesian Ani Ashotovna, and Tyrkba Khanifa Vitalievna, from the partner institution People’s Friendship University of Russia, (RUDN) visited the Rectorate of U.Porto and the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of Porto (FEP).
This mobility has allowed to Professors from both institutions to discuss and share knowledge and good practices in the academic field through the organization of various meetings and visits with representatives of different offices and projects of FEP.
This visit also promoted the reinforcement of the cooperation between U.Porto and RUDN, already in place since 2006.

VisitsA Vice-Reitora para as Relações Externas e Cultura da Universidade do Porto, Professora Maria de Fátima Marinho, fez uma visita institucional à Tailândia, Malásia e Singapura, entre 13 e 18 de novembro passado.
Aproveitando a deslocação à Tailândia no âmbito da participação na 15ª Conferência da IAU (International Association of Universities), a Vice-Reitora da U.Porto, estabeleceu contactos com as entidades académicas das Universidades de Chulalongkorn, Thammasat e Kasetsart, na Tailândia. Nesta última instituição, teve a honra de inaugurar, juntamente com o Embaixador de Portugal em Singapura, Dr. Francisco Vaz Patto, uma exposição de cinema português, durante a qual foram lidos poemas de Fernando Pessoa, Miguel Torga e Luís de Camões por uma turma de estudantes de português.
Ainda na sequência desta missão ao Sudeste Asiático, a Prof. Fátima Marinho visitou institucionalmente a Universidade da Malásia, a Universidade Nacional de Singapura, a Universidade Tecnológica Nanyang e a A*Star, Agência para a Ciência, Tecnologia e Investigação de Singapura.
Destas visitas institucionais saíram reforçadas algumas parcerias já existentes e foram estabelecidas novas oportunidade de cooperação e networking entre a Universidade do Porto e as instituições de ensino superiores locais.

VisitsDuring the month of October, the U.Porto host four colleagues from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil, on staff mobility in different services of the Rectorate:
All were unanimous in the opinion that this type of mobility strengthens the institutional ties between the two universities which already have a long-lasting cooperation.
October 28th 2016
VisitsDuring the next month of November 2016, we will receive 18 administrative staff, selected under MOBILE+ Project, who will participate in the International Week organized by the International Office of U.Porto from 7 to 11 November.
At the same time, we will receive 5 administrative staff, under the Erasmus Mundus programme, that will do a mobility period in the International Office during the month of November and will also participate in the International Week.
Some of the countries that will be represented at the event are as diverse as Uzbekistan, Canada, Jordan, Taiwan, South Africa, Honduras, Vietnam, Libya or Mongolia.

VisitsOn October 19th, the International Relations Office welcomed Dr. Seungbin MOON, Director of the International Relations Office of Sejong University, South Korea, under the agreement signed in April of this year.
During the meeting, information on both Universities were exchanged and also important details about the implementation of the foreseen activities were discussed, in particular in regards to the promotion of the mobility of students. Sejong University presented special conditions for U.Porto students on mobility at South Korea.

VisitsThe University of Porto welcomed, between October 3rd and 6th, an institutional visit of the University of Maryland Baltimore County, USA, in order to deepen and expand the existing collaboration since 1999.
The delegation, composed by Prof. Antonio Moreira, Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, Prof. Lee Blaney, Assistant Professor, Environmental Engineering, Prof. Marc Zupan, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering, Global Engineering, International Mobility Exchanges, and Dr. Brian Soulders, International Education Services, Administration and Logistics of International Mobility exchanges, was received, on the first day, in the Rectorate, by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Sebastião Feyo de Azevedo, and the Vice-Rector for Cooperation and Culture, Prof. Dr. Fátima Marinho.
The programme also included visits to FEUP and to the Centre for Competences in Cyber Security and Privacy (C3P).

VisitsBetween September 4 to 10, the Vice-Rector, Prof. Fátima Marinho, accompanied by our colleague of the International Relations Office of U.Porto, Dr. Liliana Norte, visited some universities in Canada, including Concordia University of Edmonton, University of Toronto, University of Ottawa and Université de Montréal.
As part of these visits, the Vice-Rector signed an agreement with the University of Ottawa, in the presence of the Ambassador of Portugal in Canada, Dr. José Moreira da Cunha, the Vice-Rector of the University of Ottawa, Prof. Louis de Melo, and the new Portuguese Teacher, Dr. José Abreu Ferreira.

During the stay in Alberta, Prof. Fátima Marinho also signed an agreement with Concordia University of Edmonton, and where she was received by Dr. Manfred Zeuch, Vice-President International Research, Dr. Aurélio Fernandes, Honorary Consul in Edmonton and Professor at the Business School, and Dr. Tim Loreman, President of Concordia University of Edmonton.
