"TIME TO TEACH" é um programa oficial, criado pelo Ministério da Educação do Equador que visa melhorar o ensino do inglês nas escolas públicas.

Assim, o Equador está a recrutar voluntários para ir e ensinar inglês por períodos de 10 ou 6 meses. Procuram professores, recém-licenciados ou estudantes de licenciatura no último ano de estudos (em qualquer disciplina). O principal requisito é ter um certificado reconhecido internacionalmente de conhecimentos de inglês nível B2.

O programa prevê a viagem (ida e volta para posições de longo prazo), seguro, visto, um subsídio, alojamento e refeições em famílias de acolhimento, etc.

A edição 2016/2017 do concurso “Veste a Camisola da U.Porto!” abriu a 8 de novembro!

Os estudantes são convidados a participar no concurso, tirando uma foto com a t-shirt da U.Porto num ambiente criativo. O concurso tem duas categorias: uma dedicada a estudantes incoming e outra dedicada a estudantes outgoing. 

• Os estudantes internacionais que estudam na U.Porto (incoming) são convidados a ser o mais criativos possível e a enviar uma foto que retrate o seu período de mobilidade na cidade do Porto.
• Os estudantes da U.Porto que realizam um período de mobilidade fora (outgoing) têm a oportunidade de enviar a sua foto criativa a usar a t-shirt da U.Porto nos países onde se encontram a realizar o seu período de mobilidade.

O concurso está dividido por semestres para que todos os estudantes possam participar. Os vencedores são anunciados no final de cada semestre.

Os prémios deste ano serão anunciados em breve através da plataforma International.

No seguimento da nova convocatória do Programa Erasmus+, recentemente publicada pela Comissão Europeia, o Serviço de Relações Internacionais está como habitualmente ao dispor para dar todo o apoio necessário na preparação de potenciais candidaturas a submeter por docentes e técnicos da U.Porto, em colaboração com instituições parceiras, quer enquanto coordenadores ou como parceiros.

Nesse sentido, e como tem sido habitual nos últimos anos, o SRI gostaria de disponibilizar o seu apoio, e, para o efeito, propor 3 Sessões de Divulgação e Esclarecimento sobre as Oportunidades de Financiamento para Projetos no âmbito do Programa Erasmus+, nas seguintes datas:

O Amgen Scholars Programme oferece a estudantes de licenciatura selecionados a oportunidade de participar numa experiência de investigação em alguma das principais instituições de ensino europeias. Enquanto Amgen Scholars, os estudantes têm a oportunidade de:

• Participar em importantes projetos de investigação universitária, ganhar experiência em laboratórios e contribuir para o avanço da ciência;
• Interagir com e receber orientações de docentes e investigadores, incluindo alguns dos melhores cientistas académicos da Europa; e
• Participar em seminários científicos, workshops e outros eventos de networking.

Saint-Etienne Cité du design e a Ecole Supérieure d’Art et Design anunciaram a 10ª edição da Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Étienne 2017 que terá lugar de 9 de março a 9 de abril de 2017, sob o título «Working Promesse, shifting work paradigms».

O trabalho é uma das principais preocupações da nossa sociedade uma vez que gera rendimentos e status, mas também é uma promessa de emancipação e perspetiva. Em 2017, em Saint-Etienne, designers, empresas, e também o território de Saint-Etienne como um todo, reunir-se-ão em torno deste tema promissor e ambicioso para enfrentar perspetivas, ideologias, inovações e desejos.

A Bienal é uma oportunidade para reunir muitos parceiros internacionais e também é uma ótima ferramenta para que professores ou estudantes possam mergulharem-se, para inspirar-se nos trabalhos apresentados e, por conseguinte, para incorporar a sua experiência no âmbito do Programa Erasmus.

Univie: Summer and Winter Schools são programas curtos que espelham a versatilidade das disciplinas académicas na Universidade de Viena. Estes programas intensivos são desenhados para corresponder às necessidades dos estudantes para uma aprendizagem cultural, interdisciplinar e científica. Os estudantes têm uma oportunidade única de estar em contacto com académicos de alto nível, reconhecidos especialistas nas suas áreas e líderes da indústria. A maioria dos cursos é realizada em Viena, em outros locais na Áustria e alguns ocorrem no exterior.

Last Friday October 28th, the first transnational meeting of «Sharing childhood 2» Project («SACHI 2») was held in the University of the Balearic Islands.

The project is funded by the European Commission, in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme. Sharing childhood 2 is a two year project where four European institutions are going to collaborate.

The partners are the Association Educational Centre for Intergenerational Integration HIPOKAMP (PL), the University of Porto (PT), the University of Strathclyde (UK), and the Social and Educational Training and Research Group (GIFES) from the University of Balearic Islands (ES), as coordinator. 

The intergenerational approach to senior education, proposed by SACHI2 is going to be implemented joining senior and children during the next school year in the involved schools from Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom and Spain.

«SACHI 2» continues the work of «SACHI 1», with the goal of expanding impact the on the educational community: adults, students (children) and teachers. The aim is also to promote the acquisition of language skills, collaborative and technological skills by the senior participants.

The project consists of six sessions where senior (>50) and students/children from local schools in each country (around 10 years old) share experiences.

It is estimated that about 1,320 people are going to be involved and it is expected that, thanks to a rigorous assessment, SACHI2 will produce new findings about intergenerational relations for this research field. The first year (2016-2017) is dedicated to research and preparation of the implementation foreseen for the second year (2017-2018).

The positive impact is expected to be felt not only by the partner organisations but also in schools participating in the project, in Porto, Palma de Mallorca, Strathclyde and Lodz.

With the project launch, partners are now starting to work on the implementation of the SACHI2 project, with the aim of contributing to create quality educational opportunities tailored to individual needs of senior students and to increase the use of inclusive methodologies related to educational diversity, in particularly intergenerational methodologies.

The elaboration and implementation of an intergenerational programme will contribute to help the senior community to develop new and useful skills while contributing to creating an inclusive society.
