Dear all,

The Lebanese American University is organizing its 2nd International Education Week that will be held on its campuses in Beirut and Byblos during the week of April 3-7, 2017 under the theme of “International Education in the MENA region: beginnings, evolution and innovation”.This week can be applicable for a staff exchange week.

We are inviting Embassies, Consulates, International Education Institutions, and International Universities from abroad to take part in this event in order to present their Country/University and all the opportunities available there to the LAU community.

If you know of any universities who would be interested and willing to take part please feel free to extend an invitation or provide us with the contact details to add them to our mailing address.

Please note that registration in this event is free of charge; there will be no coverage of traveling expenses for participating universities.

We are delighted to announce that Technische Universität Dresden (TUD) is organising its third International Staff Training Week, and we would like to take the opportunity to invite you to this event. The details are as follows:

International Staff Training Week
12 – 16 June 2017
at Technische Universität Dresden

TUD’s International Staff Training Week aims to provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and best practices regarding the internationalisation of institutions of higher education. There will be plenty of opportunity to network with colleagues from all over Europe, and we will be offering five Specialist Groups focusing on the following subjects:

  • Career Service: “Occupational Orientation and Career Entry Support – The Challenges for Career Services Facing Internationalisation”
  • DRESDEN-concept (DDc): “Welcome Services for International Researchers”
  • European Project Center, Transfer Office, Project Scouts: “Administrative Services for International Research Collaboration, Knowledge and Technology Transfer”
  • International Office: “Administrative Services for Academic Exchange on the Level of Schools, Means to Increase Student Outgoing Mobility as well as Guided Tour of Student Halls”
  • Staff Unit Diversity Management: “Diversity Management – a New Challenge for Universities”

University of Iceland (Iceland)

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the University of Iceland will host International Staff Training Days 10-12 May 2017. The Staff Days are organised by the International Office in collaboration with the Division of Marketing and Public Relations and are open to university employees that work within these fields at their institution. We especially welcome colleagues from our partner universities.

The programme will include presentations and interactive workshops on themes related to internationalisation and marketing in both joint sessions and smaller working groups. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet representatives from the Schools and Faculties of the University of Iceland.

The Staff Days will give the participants the opportunity to develop personal and professional skills relating to internationalisation and marketing, participate in social and cultural events and network with colleagues from a wide range of international institutions.

Participation fee is 160€ and includes the programme, two lunches, coffee breaks and refreshments and a dinner at a restaurant in downtown Reykjavik. Please note that participants are responsible for covering their own accommodation and travel costs.

The deadline for submitting an application is 11 January 2017. Unfortunately we have limited spaces available and applicants will be informed about whether they have been accepted by 3 February 2017.

Universidad Rey Juan Carlos  is delighted to invite you to the VII Erasmus+ International Week at URJC that it will take place in Madrid, Spain, from 24 to 28 April 2017. The aim is to provide an informative, collaborative and enriching experience to both guest and home staff and to share ideas and best practices related to internationalization.
